| This Is Living has two components,
which can be presented together or separately - A performance piece, and/or
a community project template to generate new box office through the presentation
of the work. Option 1 The performance piece can be presented as a complete piece, that is essentially a 3-hand performance piece set in any Australian town, running for 2 hours with an interval. Option 2 This Is Living can also combine with a community project template. This option is designed to work with a short community process, interweaving local text and photographic content into the play so as to generate strong local box-office and expand the reach of the presenter or performing arts centre. It can also involve a 'leapfrog' tour whereby a small creative team works a step ahead of the tour. They bring young people together with the oldest people in the community, linking them together through a process of oral history, image research & collection, skateboarding and performance. |
